NetApp and Cisco have broadened the scope of their partnership to integrate Data Center, Public Cloud and Branch Office with FlexPod architecture. There is also a concomitant broadening of solution development and deeper tech integration. The two companies will also continue their collaboration on go-to-market activities. For the customer, this means easier deployment of next-gen cloud infrastructure solutions. FlexPod solutions have the capability of managing up to 10,000 servers.
This product will continue to be at the forefront of integration of infrastructure tools including many of Cisco products such as Cisco UCS Manager 2.1 and the recently acquired Cloupia products. For cloud service providers, FlexPod can bring in the ability to handle multi-data center service provider architectures.
Cisco and NetApp are also adding the capacity to support more mission-critical apps and private cloud solutions for the data center. The compute, network and storage needs of branch offices can also be looked after by this integration with FlexPod.
