The world of computing is undergoing many changes and one of the biggest factors that is driving change is the growth in mobility. Though traditionally known for its products in the personal computers arena, Dell has now drawn up a strategy that has a device to data center approach at its core. Dell has now come up with mobility solutions, software, services, tablets and end to end IT solutions. According to Phil Davis, the company’s Asia Pacific and Japan vice president for Enterprise Solutions, companies are adopting a BYOD policy in a big way and Dell is looking to capitalize on this growth.
For instance, Singapore has 90% BYOD and the global percentage is at 74. Most employees also feel that using devices at work is a matter of right.
A company therefore needs to manage technology and an empowered workforce. Dell’s XPS line of products is well positioned to deal with this organizational requirement.
