March 22, 2012 3 Comments »

Data center virtualization helps in the management of massive amounts of data from the various sources. This technology can be applied to almost any area of business and can be managed through a single virtual view. Business is enhanced because data center virtualization can help with a lot of important areas and deliverables. Some of them are providing easier access to data, bringing down costs associated with software licensing and IT personnel and it helps in enhancing the efficiency of operations and management.

Such business benefits are possible with all three main types of virtualization – desktop, server and appliance.

This fact finds support from the latest Gartner study, conducted in the year 2010 which found out that data center virtualization is the benchmark by which IT resources will be created and used and virtualization will change the way data is protected as well.

Virtualization, according to the research firm, will be the technology which will have the “highest impact” and will change the way infrastructure, operations and the data center is managed and deployed.
