Some server storage I/O benchmark workload scripts (Part I)

Originally written in August 2016, this article was the first part of of a two-part series of posts discussing some common server storage I/O benchmark tools and workload scripts. It discussed the differences in performance among Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) flash Solid State Devices (SSDs) or Hard Disk Drives (HDD). The simulation tests conducted were also explained.

Did you know... There are 14,365 miles of fiber routes within California, and 136 data center facilities data center facilities that it may be possible to connect to them. Digital Realty is the provider with the largest presence in California, operating 16 data center facilities. From California's 78 neutral and 58 non-neutral facilities, we have found 73 with remote hands support.
