vCider Announces New Virtual Private Cloud Service

February 22, 2012 No Comments »

vCider Inc., a provider of on- demand virtual cloud networking solutions has unveiled the version 2.0 of its VPC or Virtual Private Cloud service. This version comes with cloud cloaking which will help secure virtual private clouds across data center and IaaS. It spans multiple cloud service providers like Rackspace and EC2 and helps extend on premise data center infrastructure into the cloud. For developers, vCider 2.0 can help them deploy secure cloud apps that can span IaaS regions and platforms. They can thus bring together diverse IaaS providers and build faster, more reliable and better performing apps.

The cloud cloaking and kernel level encryption from vCider 2.0 helps protect virtual private cloud traffic from attacks. Host based encryption and firewalls in the cloud can thus be eliminated. The vCider 2.0 also has native network traffic encryption, scalable distributed virtual switch that can help extend enterprise LAN connectivity to the cloud and automatic gateway configuration to on – premise networks.
