IT Budgets are loosening or the pressures of growth, refreshes and aging facilities has been keeping the data center construction industry busy despite a weakened economy. Regardless of the reason data center designers, suppliers and contractors are being kept busy. A recent survey conducted by Mortenson Construction confirmed this trend and noted “the expansion of mission critical facilities shows no signs of slowing and is being fueled by greater digitization of information and growth in cloud-based services and new devices.” The study also included insight on Healthcare and technology companies, energy and cooling costs and future data center investments.
