IO, a worldwide leader in software-defined data center technology, services and solutions, today announced TetherView has deployed its private cloud services at the IO New Jersey data center in Edison. TetherView works with IO to deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure and Desktops as a Service (DaaS) to small- and medium-sized businesses in the New York Metro region. Early adopters include consulting, financial services, healthcare and legal firms.
“IO gives us reliability and high availability without having to invest resources to deploy and maintain our own data center,” said Jim Scott, COO at TetherView. “They provide multiple power feeds, carrier-neutral data centers with a choice of numerous telecommunications carriers and several data center locations – all important in meeting our customer requirements for cloud infrastructure.”
TetherView leverages IO colocation for its ability to scale quickly to meet growing customer demand for high-touch and advanced IT solutions. IO’s compartmentalized design enables TetherView to segment its cloud clients with robust security.
Among the reasons TetherView chose IO data centers was they are SSAE16 SOC1 Type 2 compliant and have Tier III certification from the Uptime Institute. IO data centers provide concurrent maintainability and 24x7x365 security. This is especially important for TetherView’s healthcare and financial services clients where compliance and high availability are paramount considerations.
“A critical proof point in our decision to select IO was how IO New Jersey maintained power and operations throughout Hurricane Sandy - an event that is still on the minds of many of our clients,” said Scott.
