In the next few months, Red Hat is all set to unveil a slew of cloud products. This announcement came at the company’s Summit Conference in Boston. Red Hat will be bringing out hybrid cloud products, PaaS and Storage Server 2.0 as well. The underlying rationale for hybrid cloud is the fact that there is growth in customer base for the company’s products besides Linux. The company wants to now integrate clusters of their products into unified or single offerings. Red Hat launched OpenShift last year. This was a public PaaS offering at that time but clients expressed a desire to use it entirely inside their own data centers. Now, Red Hat is planning to bundle CloudForms, Enterprise Linux, JBoss middleware and Enterprise Virtualization into OpenShift Enterprise PaaS offering. There is also a hybrid IaaS product in the pipeline. This will enable the customers to use prepaid computing time from public clouds.
