Big Data Energy And Its Impact

There is a lot of news about Big Data. Technology experts talk about how it is going to impact the data center industry and ensure that they fill up. However, the critical question here is its degree of greenness. The term Big Data has come up only in the recent past. Before that however, it was nothing but analytics. This service, if one can call it that, was delivered to high value clients by most companies. Today, however, open source software and the cloud and cloud based services have brought this feature to almost anybody. Data centers contribute to this easier availability by making hardware cheaper too.

Even though there are smart initiatives being implemented to manage aspects like public transportation system, the question of changing human behavior is also important. So on one hand, Big Data Analytics can get into the minutest details and deliver data and calculations. But it is up to us to use the same and make significant changes in energy use.
